It’s time to play tug of war
Tira&Molla is the new proposal at Bama Pet stand, within the assortment of intelligent toys for pets
They have multiple purposes, they are never just ‘toys’: Bama Pet knows it well. This company has in its DNA intelligent solutions for pets, which on the one hand help to keep the animal in exercise and on the other hand allow it to have fun and keep its mind trained by interacting with human beings. At Zoomark International, the Italian company presents Tira&Molla. Rossella Baiocchi, Responsible Person of Marketing and Communication, explained: ‘It’s a new non-toxic, patented, completely made in Italy toy that floats and bounces. This special tug of war, in addition to awakening dog’s competitive instinct, is important because it requires the active participation of the owner. The play is thus a moment of social gratification because the dog cannot enjoy the push and pull alone, but needs a two or four-legged companion’. The product, designed to resist pulling and chewing, is versatile in its uses; it can be hung, hide small prizes, be pulled into the water. Furthermore, it is also ideal for those dogs showing signs of stress or who spend time alone at home due to their master’s work needs. Tira&Molla completes the Bamapet offer, which includes kennels, bowls, litter boxes, bags, carriers, containers for croquettes. All are made of plastic: ‘In addition, they respond to the needs of animals and their owners in all aspects of their life together, from cleaning to storage, from travel needs to rest and entertainment’.

In addition, we focus on digital, with a strong presence strategy that includes YouTube, Spotify, and social network campaigns throughout the year. We are also present at the main events aimed at consumer. We propose promotional activities in stores, too, with visibility materials and flyers on the main brands with national coverage’. The common line of the main companies in this market is the disclosure on the importance of using antiparasitics throughout the year and above all against all external parasites: nevertheless, these are still highly seasonal products, whose consumption is concentrated in the period late spring/summer, with particular attention to protection against Leishmaniasis.
The cost of electricity reduces the number of tanks
Eschematteo presents its specific assortment for water treatment and completes the Vitalis feed line
This year Eschematteo is present at Zoomark International to acquire new customers in the uncovered areas and to consolidate its partnership with already acquired customers. Catia Cola, owner of the company, explained: ‘As regards new proposals, we present our lines of products for water treatment, which not all customers know about, and the complete line of Vitalis feeds that we distribute exclusively for Italy. For our part, we expect a stable/slightly increasing trend for 2023, compared to 2022. From 2020 onwards, we have had some years of unexpected vivacity, given that during the lock-down period caused by Covid, the sector recorded significant increases, but at least two negative situations occurred last year’. The first one concerns the cost of electricity: since the first months of 2022, due to the price increases recorded, both retailers and end consumers have had great difficulty maintaining the tanks. ‘We have seen concerns from retailers for the management of their store: to face the extremely negative period with an impact on management costs, which in some cases have more than tripled, many have significantly reduced the number of tanks and consequently their offer. The second negative situation concerns the new extremely restrictive legislation in force since the end of October 2022 concerning exotic animals, in particular for imported marine fish’.
