A showcase to involve foreign markets
Mr Pet welcomes the new edition of Zoomark International, appreciated for the internationalization leap that FieraBologna has been able to make
As always present at Zoomark International, Mr Pet is ready to host all the Italian and international partners and new customers who will soon be part of Mister Pet family, such as South Africa and Canada, in its stand (HALL 30 – Stand C 77 – C81). The founder Enzo Gambarelli has anticipated: ‘We are expecting a large turnout with new requests from foreign Countries which were never present before this edition and could be conquered’. The dog and cat ranges are enriched with new tasty and healthy recipes resulting from continuous study of new combinations of protein sources and high quality ingredients. The Dog Range offers two formulas: Wild Boar & Lamb, Sardine and Turkey. Both combinations are highly digestible and appetizing. Primordial Adult Dog Fresh lamb and dehydrated Wild Boar are prepared with a formula with high content of fresh lamb and dehydrated wild boar, ensuring high palatability even for the most demanding dogs. Primordial Adult Dog Sardine and Turkey contains a high content of fresh blue fish (sardine) and dehydrated white meat (turkey), suitable for more delicate and sensitive dogs. Furthermore, there are four proposals for sterilized cats – Exigent, Sensitive, Urinary, Skin&Coat – Primordial Sterilized Cat, Exigent with Fresh Salmon and highly palatable dehydrated quail for demanding subjects. ‘The increase in inflation, with the consequent reduction in purchasing power of families, produces a rationalization of purchases: the necessary ones such as dry and/or wet food are kept and the more voluptuous ones are postponed. In Mister Pet we have a very large international market and this will help us better overcome this difficult moment’.
A runway for Bobby branded haute couture
Croci Group underlines the elegance of its clothing sector, which extends to solutions for the home, comfort, and design of aquariums, without neglecting sustainability
Dario Croci, Croci managing director, explained: ‘We are expecting a great recovery in attendance at the fair. Our desire is to return to the numbers of participants recorded in the pre-Covid period and to involve more foreign buyers by further extending our market power. We are looking forward to a large influx of customers from Italy and above all from abroad, confirming a growing interest in this sector’.
At the 20th edition of Zoomark, Croci presents to the public not only the complete range of products of their house, but all the recent acquisitions of the Group and related proposals. ‘We are talking about Bobby branded products from our French branch, which, as emphasized by the claim ‘Le chic a la française’, follows the dictates of haute couture, from the new clothing collection to kennels and cushions for the comfort of animals’. The main focus always remains to become an even more sustainable brand, as demonstrated by Eco line flagship, with its top product Tofu Clean Litter. Which is the absolute novelty? The new design aquariums of Alux Amtra line, present at the recent Varese Design Week, which are characterized by their modern and essential lines, easy to contextualize in any decor, giving a touch of class to all environments.
Cleaning extends to the decorum of the streets
Ferribiella has launched Nettuno, silicone container designed to clean dog urine during walks in the city
Zoomark International has always been an eagerly awaited appointment for both exhibitors and stores. Genny Avonto, Ferribiella creative director, anticipated to Pet Trend: ‘The possibility of meeting all our customers in person is an important moment of consolidation and the possibility of meeting new Italian and foreign customers represents for us a great opportunity. This year we will present many new proposals at our stand Hall 26, A27-B40’. Nettuno is the new bottle for cleaning dog pee during city walks. Its capacity is 150 ml, it is made of silicone, available in 5 colours, and equipped with a snap hook to attach it to a leash or bag. It can be combined with ‘Teddy’ bag holder and travel bowls. The snap closure with membrane dispenser prevents unwanted water leaks. ‘Mida is our new line of collars, leashes, and harnesses in shiny nylon. Its metal components, in an elegant light-matt gold finish, are made of Zamak, an alloy of aluminium, magnesium, and copper: light, robust, and safe, with an innovative monoblock interlocking closure, free of snap elements. The large surface of nylon allows traction to be better and delicately distributed on dog’s body, increasing the level of comfort perceived by the animal. It is available in 5 colours: Silver, Gold mustard, Coral rose, Midnight blue, and Teal green’.
Not only visibility, but space for relationships
Purina enhances the role of the fair as a meeting of supply and demand in a market period that has shown unprecedented complexities
Sibyl Pezzotta, Purina specialist BU director, explained: ‘We are very excited to return to Zoomark International, which has always been a fundamental point of reference in our sector. This moment is not only important in terms of visibility, but also and above all in terms of relationships: after these last few years, it is important to finally have a moment of meeting to consolidate existing relationships and build new ones’. The sector is facing many challenges: from the increase in cost of raw materials to increasingly attentive and informed customers in a world where the role of pets in both family and society is increasingly evolving. And we cannot forget perhaps the most complex and essential challenge: that of operating in an increasingly sustainable manner, guaranteeing the growth of the business and the category with a fundamental focus on environmental protection. ‘In the context of Zoomark and following what has been said regarding the growing attention of customers towards pet food products, we have decided to give the right visibility to the latest innovation launched by Purina: ‘Pro Plan Supplements’ line. It is a specific range of complementary products that offers a real supplement to the diet of dogs and cats and can provide numerous benefits, such as support for skin and coat health, joints, vitality, immune system, and natural balance for the daily well-being of pets’.
A precious opportunity to build new synergies
Camon brings to its stand a 38-year history of clothing, snacks, and leashes. For the protection and beauty of dogs and cats
Alice Canazza, Camon marketing director, explained: ‘Zoomark International represents an event that we really consider important, having always followed its evolution and development. The Bologna fair is a precious opportunity for our company, both to propose our most significant innovations and to build new commercial synergies and strengthen existing ones, presenting all of Camon’s wide range of products and the credibility and solidity that derive from our 38 years of history. We expect a very important turnout, also in light of the high number of exhibitors expected at the fair’. In the renovated stand space that Camon has designed, Zoomark presents the latest novelties of its exclusive clothing and comfort collections, ‘as well as our rich and assorted lines of snacks and leashes. Another of our main focuses is represented by ‘Orme Naturali’ line, which we will exhibit in a restyling that will further enhance its peculiar characteristics for the care, protection, and beauty of dogs and cats’. The pet market is undoubtedly experiencing a very rapid transformation phase. The advent of new players has had a significant effect by bringing significant changes to the entire sector, which remains very lively, albeit with some recent slowdowns due to the unfavourable economic situation that is limiting consumers’ spending power. Canazza concluded: ‘As far as our company is concerned, we still have very positive prospects and we are enthusiastic about facing the challenges that await us with our usual passion and competence’.
A stand at the intersection of four thematic areas
At Zoomark International, Rinaldo Franco underlines the rebranding of Record brand, which intends to consolidate its positions on the specialized channel
Rinaldo Franco, historic company in the pet care market, is present at Zoomark International with 4 stands to exhibit the main novelties of 2023. Monica Franco, Rinaldo Franco marketing manager, explained: ‘Each stand will be dedicated to specific product categories, with a particular focus on the world of grooming, vegetable litter, and clothing. As for the Grooming world, the new products of Ambel line will be presented. This project aims at providing the modern groomer with the highest quality products, tools, and services’. There will be many new lines of snacks for both dogs and cats that will be included in the Record assortment to give the retailer the maximum choice. The important surprise that will be presented at Zoomark will be the rebranding of Record brand, dedicated to the world of specialized products. The new logo and new packaging will give the brand an even fresher and more modern aesthetic. Monica Franco concluded: ‘For Zoomark 2023 we are expecting a national and again international flow of visitors after the pandemic restrictions that have prevented access from the most distant and at-risk Countries. Despite the economic difficulties, we expect the pet care market to maintain the growth at least in terms of value in recent years, above all thanks to the increase in the dog population’.
