On the hunt for trends to enhance store brand products

Amici di Casa Coop is the sign that Coop Alleanza 3.0 has dedicated to the Specialized sector of Pet products, launched in 2017 to meet the growing needs expressed by pet lovers in an ever more complete and specific way. In this way, the cooperative is conquering a market in clear growth by offering specialized shops with dedicated services. The stores are developing their exposure by product categories with clear and impactful communication capable of facilitating the purchase path for pet parents.
Luca Bussolati, director of Coop Alleanza 3.0 Pet Store, underlined: ‘To date, we can count on a network of 24 stores, 21 of which are direct, two franchised affiliates, and one of Coop Central Italy. We are also present online, with a section dedicated to Amici di Casa on the EasyCoop website. Our pet stores are located in different regions, such as Veneto, Emilia-Romagna (where the majority of shops are concentrated), Umbria, Marche, and Puglia’.
The elements characterizing the proposal are various. First of all, the wide assortment, with an offer of over 10,000 coded products. But there is also customer assistance by qualified personnel, professionally trained by Anmvi, the National Association of Italian Veterinary Doctors. ‘Among our services, we propose grooming, and we offer our Coop customer members exclusive benefits and promotions. Inside our stores, particular prominence is given to products for the hygiene and health of dogs and cats, to diets for the treatment of specific problems, in addition to all the important categories for human-animal interaction such as toys, snacks, and leashes.

Assortment expansions

‘We foresee some novelties in our distributor brand products. We are about to launch an important expansion, with great innovations especially in the range of more specialized products’. The network development plans include both opening of new proprietary stores and affiliation of new partners with franchise agreement.
